It didn’t work for me but it might work for you. If you still have Mass Effect 2 and the game save from it. Please load the game up and go to squad and look at the top left corner of your screen to get the code. Then load up Mass Effect 3 and go to import and go to custom Appearance where you scroll down to the code and retype the code from ME2. Hope that helps

Plot

Mass Effect 3 begins on Earth, with Commander Shepard relieved of duty for the consequences of his/her actions in the Mass Effect 2 DLC pack Arrival, as the forces of Earth are overwhelmed by an oncoming Reaper onslaught. Admiral Anderson tasks Shepard with uniting the forces of the galaxy while he coordinates human resistance forces on Earth. Before leaving the system, Shepard stops at a research facility on Mars and saves former squadmate Liara T’Soni from Cerberus troopers. T’Soni has discovered blueprints in the Prothean ruins to a weapon that may have the power to destroy the Reapers. The blueprints are forwarded to Hackett, who dubs the weapon “The Crucible” and begins preparations for its construction.

The Citadel Council is reluctant to provide aid to Earth with Reapers attacking their own systems. To foster goodwill, Shepard is sent on various missions throughout the galaxy, gathering allies for the ongoing war and resources for the Crucible. Some story about Mass Effect

BioWare describes Citadel as “an emotional ride” featuring fan-favourite characters from the series. It will be “one final, sentimental journey with Commander Shepard and their squad”.

“When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives,” BioWare community manager Chris Priestly revealed on the company’s official forum. “Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.”

Citadel will include a new hub area to explore even after the DLC’s main plotline has been completed – a major complaint about previous add-on, Omega.
